NCI Communications Coordinator

The NCI Communications Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and coordination of internal and external communications on the behalf of NCI. They are the primary contact for any issues arising or queries related to NCI as a whole.

This position is a member of the Board of Directors.

Roles/Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not necessarily limited to:

  1. External communications
    • Coordinate and implement a proactive public relations and public affairs strategy to communicate the positive attributes of NCI
    • Ensure that a consistent message is shared with all audiences;
    • Manage and implement media activity as required to increase the positive opinion of NCI
      • Write press releases
      • Managing and negotiating with third party publications such as
        • magasines,
        • newspapers,
        • blogs
        • online articles.
    • Creating presentation content, materials and training needs as required to support NCI executive and directors, as well as partners and supporters;
    • Development and delivery of all public relations and communication materials,ensuring quality of content, production and delivery.
  2. Internal communications
    • Initiating and maintaining good communications within NCI.
    • Creating and distributing notices within NCI
    • Initiating and managing intra-level meetings.
  3. Internal and external communications
    • Act as spokesperson
    • Answer questions relative to NCI and programs in effect.
    • Development and delivery of all public relations and communication materials,ensuring quality of content, production and delivery.
